Hatha Yoga

Hatha is a style of yoga comprised of standing and floor postures that are static and held for several breaths at a time. Hatha yoga is moderately paced and typically follows a gradual intensity arc that progressively leads students through a warm up followed by a heat generating phase that eventually leads to more complex and physically challenging postures. The arc is completed with a lengthy cool down. View Schedule

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa is a steady paced energizing style of yoga where poses are dynamically flowing from one to the next. The transition of poses are coordinated with cycles of breath, making this practice a “moving meditation”. A Vinyasa class is comprised of a brief warm up followed by a long and sustained heat building phase that increases in intensity eventually leading to a peak pose. Generally the majority of the class is spent on the heat building phase with a shorter warm up and cool down. View Schedule

Mindful Movement (Stretch & Restore)

Restorative is a passive and cozy form of yoga featuring a handful of easeful postures held for several minutes at a time. Comfort being the focus, poses are often supported by the use of props relieving any strain or pain. A Restorative class focuses on stress reduction by intentionally slowing down and activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which controls the bodies ability to relax. When parasympathetic response is stimulated the body can, effectively slow down the heart rate, breathing and increase blood flow to vital organs while calming the mind. View Schedule

Slow Flow

A Slow Flow is a derivative of our Vinyasa Flow. This class is moderately paced, with sustained and dynamic movements that flow in synchronicity with breath. While a traditional Vinyasa Flow is faster paced with one breath per movement, a Slow Flow will intermittently invite space for students to pause and land in a posture before moving on to the next. Yin

Yin yoga is a passive form of yoga consisting of longer-held poses that encourage the temporary release of tension in the body using supported stretching to access deeper ranges of motion. Often props are utilized to enhance and amplify the effects of each pose.

Though Yin yoga is not considered physically strenuous, the stillness of the practice invites a humbling challenge for the mind. Yin classes often thread in Buddhist mindfulness concepts and meditation techniques to strengthen the mind and invite a tone of intentionality to the practice. View Schedule

Yang and Yin

Yang and Yin is a fusion of our Vinyasa Flow and Yin class. The first 30 minutes is an active and energizing Vinyasa Flow followed by another 30 minutes of contemplative Yin Yoga. The combination of Vinyasa and Yin creates a balance of challenge and surrender, effort and ease. View Schedule
