Welcome to KIND Yoga, we're thrilled you've discovered us! We've crafted an immersive experience that starts before you even unroll your mat. Like all good things in life, your first time finding us is a mini adventure off the beaten path. To help make your first experience as enjoyable as possible, please review this list of need-to-knows prior to your arrival.

 
 

Arrival Time & Walk

All first time students must arrive 20 minutes prior to the scheduled class start time. This is mandatory as your instructor will be meeting you at the parking lot to escort you for the 7 minute walk from the parking lot to the studio. Punctuality is key as the instructor will not wait for you past the 20 minute early arrival time and latecomers will not be permitted into sessions.

Nature Yoga Attire?

Our studio is equipped with a cozy wood stove, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. However, a wood stove’s heating may be less consistent than traditional home heating methods.

Fall/Spring we recommend you:

  • Layer up your clothing to ensure your comfort during classes regardless of any temperature fluctuations

  • Bring an umbrella or wear rain resistant outer layers for the 7 minute walk from your car to the studio

  • Bring a cozy blanket and your favourite cozy Savasana socks for the ultimate experience

Parking

Parking is in the market OVERFLOW parking, which is located directly to your right in the field - immediately after entering the driveway. Please be respectful of our farm market staff and do not use the market parking.

RECOMMENDED CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS

With diversity a priority, our instructors offer creative adaptations to all sequences to ensure that all levels of abilities can practice successfully and reap the benefits. That being said, we recommend beginners start with the below class styles that emphasize the foundations necessary to build your confidence and familiarity so you can gradually explore more styles.

NEW STUDENT FAQ’S

  • Please bring:

    1. Your own mat

    2. Water - Note we are an off-the-grid facility and do not have access drinkable water

    3. Headlamp- with fewer daylight hours in fall/winter we recommend a headlamp for early morning/evening classes for your 5 minute walk from your car to the studio

  • Our studio is equipped with a cozy wood stove, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. However, a wood stove’s heating may be less consistent than traditional home heating methods.

  • There is a basic outhouse bathroom on the path to your yoga class.

    Please come to class dressed and ready to go, as there are no change rooms on site.

  • To keep screen time to a minimum while at KIND, we require all students to book and pay prior to arriving.

    All classes on can be booked here or through our website on the Schedule Rates page on our website. For easier and faster booking, download the Wellness Living App called ‘Achieve’ on your phone.

  • We do our very best to honour our posted schedule, however, occasionally we have to cancel classes due to weather or other reasons beyond our control.

    Always remember to check your email for any cancellation notices 60 minutes prior to class.

  • For pregnant students, we recommend trying any of our beginner friendly classes mentioned above. If yoga and exercise have been a consistent part of your routine prior to conceiving, you are welcome to join any of our scheduled class. *Note we recommend seeking approval from your physician first.

    Our teachers are trained to modify for pregnant bodies and are happy to accommodate your needs. We recommend informing your instructor before class so they can best serve you.
